Charles L. Hecht Memorial, Santiam Masonic Lodge Scholarship Due 4/1/20!

Scholarship(s) will be offered each year to a student(s) wishing to pursue some field in agriculture, veterinary medicine, horticulture, mechanics, or related engineering field. The scholarship(s) may be awarded to either male or female students.

Applications are due by April 1st to the address listed on the first page!

The scholarship(s) will be awarded to a senior student(s) from Regis High School, and/or Stayton High School, and/or Santiam High School. A student awardees’ may apply the following year.

Eligible recipients must have earned a 2.5 grade point average or better in their high school career and demonstrates financial need, if they wish to apply again in future years.

Pointe Pest Control Scholarship Due 4/29/20

Pointe Pest Control is pleased to announce the 4th annual Pay it Forward scholarship for the 2019/2020 school year!
We wanted to make sure your students were aware of this offer as this scholarship was created to encourage students to do something good for someone else.  We want to hear about the good deed they’ve performed!
Here is some brief information about this scholarship:
  • Scholarship is due no later than 04/29/20.
  • Scholarship is a one-time award of $750.
  • A winner will be announced on 05/30/20.
  • LATE and INCOMPLETE applications WILL NOT be accepted.

Youth Benefit Golf Scholarship Due 3/1/20

The net proceeds from the Youth Benefit Golf Tournament are distributed as scholarships and funding assistance grants for youth programs in the Santiam Canyon.  The following criteria will govern the scholarships and funding assistance grants.  Deadline to submit applications is March 1, 2020.
Scholarships:  Graduating seniors from Regis; Santiam & Stayton High Schools are eligible to apply for a scholarship.  Graduating seniors from the online school ORCA that reside in the Santiam Canyon (Stayton-Sublimity to Detroit-Idahana) are also eligible to apply for one of our scholarships.

Key Bank Cline Scholarship Due 4/12/20

The Charles O. and Hazel E. Cline Memorial Scholarship Fund was established to secure an education beyond high school in any school situated in the state of Oregon, with preference to schools in Linn and Crook Counties, to enable the recipients to better prepare themselves to follow a vocation, occupation or profession of their choice, and to become self-supporting.  College Now Greater Cleveland is handling the administrative duties of the scholarship for the 2020/2021 year.  Key Private Bank is in trust of the fund.  We need your help promoting this scholarship to eligible students.  The application deadline is April 12th, 2020.

What’s New with Chemeketa Scholars

  • Applications will be accepted at the Salem campus March 9-13, 2020
  • The Yamhill Valley information session is January 28, 2020
  • The Salem information session is January 29, 2020
  • Scholars applicants should also apply for the Oregon Promise
  • Smarter Balanced scores may be used in place of Chemeketa’s placement assessment

Chemeketa Scholars Eligibility Requirements

High School Students

  • Attend a high school within Chemeketa’s district or reside in Chemeketa’s district
  • Have an unweighted cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher. This GPA is through the first semester/quarter of the last year of high school
  • Be placed into Reading 115, Writing 115 and Math 095 or higher*
  • Be on track to earn a high school diploma
  • Enroll full-time (12-18 credits) at Chemeketa in the first fall term after graduation
